About Our Wood carvings
Stephen Zimmerman has been sculpting stone for the past twenty years. He has recently turned his hand to chainsaw carving. All carvings are produced from white pine, CEDAR, oak and maple. Each carving is finished with high quality FINISH and multiple coats of varnish that completely seals the sculpture. Simple aftercare instructions can be found at the bottom of the page.

All carvings are coated with the finest weather protecting products. see how to keep your carving in ‘like new’ condition at the bottom of this page.

Requests for individualized carvings can be made through this website or by callING the number shown below for any questions you may have. On-site carving is also available if your property has a tree that would lend itself to be transformed into your personal choice of carving.
future care for carvings
tO BEST PRESERVE YOUR CARVING, KEEP IT OUTSIDE AND IN A FILTERED SUN LOCATION. tHESE CARVINGS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE INSIDE WHERE AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING IMPOSE UNNATURAL CHANGES TO THE WOOD’S MOISTURE CONTENT.
All carvings are finished with either multiple coats of marine varnish (Spar Varnish) or polyurethane ( both are easily available). Once a year it is suggested that your wood carving be given a fresh coat. This can be brushed on quickly and left to dry for 24 hours. keep your carving in new-like condition.
